My family is asking you for help 🙏🏻 My name is Polina and I am 36. I have been disabled since childhood (lower flaccid paraparesis, pelvic organ dysfunction, severe foot deformity). I was born and lived in the city of Bakhmut. My home, my parents' home and our small family shop were destroyed. We were forced to leave. We escaped from a burning house in Bakhmut on 22 March 2023. My father suffered a severe leg wound and now needs constant medical care, and my mother looks after him (my parents have now gone to Germany on a medical referral for my father's treatment. My husband and I stayed behind), Because of the constant shelling of our city we had to hide in a basement for a long time. Because of the nervous strain and hypothermia my condition got even worse and my eyesight deteriorated. I have no possibility to work (it is physically hard and painful); only my husband works. Now we live in the city of Kamianske. We live in an annex to a garage. When we were renting the place, the realtor did not tell us the most important thing about our annex, namely that it has no heating at all and that the electricity rate is commercial (7,60 UAH). Because of this, we made our own heater out of a few stones and a gas cylinder. We also have 2 cats living with us. These cats are sterilized and need special care. My family will be very grateful if you have the opportunity to help us🙏🏻 My husband's salary is not enough, and we are forced to give up covering our basic needs, cutting back on clothes and food.
