My name is Anna, I am 39 years old. I am raising a child with a disability, Sofiika, who is 8. She was born with a rare chromosomal abnormality that affects development and speech. To improve her development she needs ongoing sessions, which I cannot pay for myself, because I do not work: I spend all my time with my child, as she needs constant care. On an ongoing basis we need sessions with a psychologist and a speech therapist, and courses of exercise therapy, massage and swimming, because we have problems with her legs: she suffered a hip dislocation at birth. Sofiika is a very lively girl; she loves playing ball, loves other children and adores sweets. But unlike ordinary children, she cannot have them, because she is on a special diet: lactose-free and gluten-free. Without constant, expensive rehabilitation courses we will not be able to make further progress in her development. We are turning to you for help! Help us take a step towards a normal life.
